April 30, 2016, the șĂÉ«tv (AUCA) held an Open Doors Day for its Masterâs programs. Attendees received materials explaining the programsâ application procedures, listened to guest lectures relevant to each program, and sat in on seminars explaining the benefits of getting a Masterâs at AUCA.
Starting in the 2016-2017 academic year, AUCA will offer seven different Masterâs programs:
International Partner Universities of AUCAâs Masterâs programs:
âThe Masterâs degree programs are designed with a focus on professional qualification. A Masterâs degree offers you more serious specializations, allowing you to advance your work potential. Today, you have the opportunity to talk to representatives from each of our Masterâs program and learn more about them. At the core of each of our programs is AUCAâs basic pedagogical mission: to make you think and to make you work,â said the president of AUCA, Andrew Wachtel.
Seth Fearey, an assistant professor in the MBA program, added, âHow many of you are working now and feel like it is hard for you to advance in your career? This is a good reason why you might want to get a Masterâs degree. Your dream might be to help others, to raise your salary, to work in climate change or politicsâa Masterâs degree can help you make those dreams real by providing you with the specialized training you need to work in those areas and get those kinds of jobs.â
Professor Frank Emmert, a member of the faculty of law at Indiana șĂÉ«tvâs Robert H. McKinney School of Law, said âwhen AUCA wanted to open an LL.M. program, the first thing president Wachtel did was call up Indiana șĂÉ«tv and tell us he wanted to do it together. We knew that AUCA provides its students a high quality education, so of course we said we wanted to do this together! AUCAâs LL.M. is a two-year program designed for working people who are busy during the day. The first two semesters you study at AUCA (the second of those semesters Indiana șĂÉ«tv sends professors to teach you at AUCA). The third semester you come to Indiana șĂÉ«tv, see the United States, and, of course, study with Indiana șĂÉ«tv students and professors. Afterwards, you come back to AUCA and write your thesis. In the end you receive both a Kyrgyz State diploma and an LL.M. from Indiana șĂÉ«tvâs Robert H. McKinney School of Law.â
