AUCA Law Program students will participate in the Foreign Direct Investment International Arbitration Moot in October of 2024.

听The Foreign Direct Investment International Arbitration Moot is a premier international investment arbitration competition which will take place in person at the renowned Humboldt-Universit盲t zu Berlin and virtually. The case and hearings offer a unique forum for academics and practitioners from around the world to discuss investment law and arbitration developments as well as to assess emerging talents.

听Increasing international investment, the proliferation of international investment treaties, domestic legislation, and international investment contracts have contributed to the development of investment law and investment arbitration. These disputes involve not only vast sums, but also a panoply of rights, duties, and shifting objectives at the juncture of national and international law and policy. The FDI Moot helps future lawyers attain a practical understanding of these issues.

听Mr. Mohammad Mabroor, Ms. Shabana Akbari, Ms. Zhanara Kurenkeeva, and Mr. Almir Sabyrbekov, AUCA Law Program students, will represent AUCA in this prestigious moot court competition this year.

听As part of preparation for FDI Moot, the AUCA Law Program team participated in the FDI Pre-Moot competition conducted by the Russian Arbitration Center at the Russian Institute of Modern Arbitration in October of 2024. The FDI Online Pre-Moot is an event designed to give students the floor to demonstrate their pleading skills and knowledge of complex issues of international investment arbitration and law before the FDI Moot Global Rounds.

We wish our team all the best as they prepare for this prestigious international legal competition.
