On June 17, Murat Aliev -distinguished cinematographer of the Kyrgyz Republic, winner of the Toktogul state prize, died at the age of 72 after a serious illness.听AUCA administration and community express the deepest condolences to Nariste Alieva on the death of her father. Nariste is a graduate of the AUCA journalism program, who later worked as a faculty member of the department.

Nalida graduated from the high school No.70, which is located in Bishkek. Nalida loves the nature and always tries to take care of it. That is why she chose the faculty of Liberal Arts and Sciences, with a concentration on environmental management.

As of July 7th of 2020, the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Kyrgyzstan has reached 8, 141 while the death toll has totaled 99 and keeps growing.听This number speaks volumes of the current state of the national healthcare system, its technical lag and lack of necessary equipment and human resources, as well as about limited resources of Government to deal with rapidly unfolding national catastrophe alone.
